Common Ground originated in 1979 as "The Everett House Healing Center" and consisted of wellness practitioners and hot tub & sauna facility in the 2917  building.  In 1981 the 2927 building was added to the facility. 

In 1983 the name was changed to "Common Ground". The words of a Paul Winter song (from which we adopted our name) accompanied the sign:

  "in a circle of song, in a circle of sound...all our voices will blend when we touch common ground..."

Over many years, these grounds have become the home base for many of Portland's finest wellness practitioners.  The community has come to know Common Ground at the Everett House as a gathering place, as well as a place of healing and inner peace.

As times change we are changing our name to The Everett Healing House and hope to continue to serve you on these grounds with the best of community services in holistic health, healing and education.

Spa Etiquette & Policies

Appointments: Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete paperwork. In order to respect the time of our other clients, those who arrive late will have that much less time for their service(s), and will be charged in full.

Cancellations/Re-Scheduling: We request that if you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment that you give us 24 hour notice to allow sufficient time to schedule another client. We require a visa or mastercard or discover card to hold all services.  If you do not cancel an appointment you have made with at least 24 hours notice or do not show up for an appointment we will charge your credit card in the amount of 50% of the service(s) reserved.
